This Law defines the institutional framework and the fundamental principles governing the activity of the bodies responsible for producing official statistics. It specifies the main rules to be established for their production and regulates the relationships established among the components of the National Statistical System, as well as their relationships with other relevant parties.
In order to achieve the objectives of Economic and Social Development, the Government of Equatorial Guinea created, in January 2013, the organizational and operational structures of the National Institute of Statistics of Equatorial Guinea (INEGE) to ensure the implementation of the designed programs and to coordinate its own activities.
