DESCRIPTION:The CPI measures the average change in prices of a representati
 ve basket of goods and services consumed by households residing in a specif
 ic area.\nINFLATION is the generalized and sustained increase in the genera
 l price level existing in the market over a period of time.\nThe CPI is the
  Consumer Price Index\; this index measures the change in the overall price
 s of goods and services consumed by the population of a country or region.\
 nThe CPI indicates how much the price of the basket of goods consumed by ho
 useholds has increased or decreased. This study is conducted on a set of pr
 oducts (basket) related to food\, transport\, education\, clothing\, etc.\n
 \nThe monthly CPI report is expected to provide the general inflation rate\
 , core inflation\, accumulated inflation\, and monthly inflation.\nWe would
  like to remind you that there are several causes of inflation. From this v
 ariety\, we indicate some of them here\; we understand that one of them mus
 t occur in an economy:\n\nExcess Money Supply\n\n\nWhen central banks print
  too much money without productive backing\, the money loses value.\nQuanti
 ty theory of money: more money circulating without an increase in productio
 n = inflation.\n\n\nIncreased Demand\n\n\nIf people have more money to spen
 d (due to credit or subsidies) but production does not grow\, prices rise.\
 n\n\nIncrease in Production Costs\n\n\nWage increases\, rising raw material
  costs\, or high taxes.\n\n\nImported Inflation\n\n\nWhen a country relies 
 on imports and international prices rise.\n\n\nInflationary Expectations\n\
 n\nIf people expect prices to continue rising\, they demand wage increases\
 , which fuels inflation.\n\nCity-specific inflation is not easy to compare 
 due to various reasons mentioned above\; it depends on the phenomenon occur
 ring in each city.
